Taking photographs and painting pictures encourages me to explore a variety of urban, water and land-scapes. Nature has a habit of turning up in unexpected and compelling situations. While nature becomes most visible in stunning mountain panoramic scenes I am as happy seeing nature in the ordinary and everyday. Looking at familiar scenes from the perspective of a camera or sketch book can reveal nature in unexpected guises.
